At this point, I have tried Salomon, NATHAN, Ultraspire, Osprey and that Orange Mud nonsense. This is hands down the best hydration vest for me. I have been training in this vest 4-5 days a week for a year. The Race Vesta holds just what I need and is ridiculously comfortable. So comfortable that I often fall asleep in this vest post workout. I always pack an ultra light jacket in the back, two full bottles in the front, one extra bottle in the back, nutrition in a front pocket and a phone in the 2nd front pocket. I actually have TWO of these vests and just rotate throughout the week in case I need to wash one. Cannot recommend this product enough.
Pretty much the perfect vest. Feels like you are wearing nothing. I usually stow a soft flask in one front pocket and my phone in the other for longer runs. Zippered pockets are great for gels and keys. Has the capacity to hold a bladder in back if needed. Comfort cinch is rad, and I've never had a chafing problem. Perfect for your long runs, or your 50k to 100 mile race needs!
I love this vest for short trail runs in Canmore, Alberta, Canada - the Rocky Mountains. I use a water bladder, and have space for my bear spray, cougar knife, extra safety gear and snacks. It has more ‘softness’ to it than some of the older ones, with more give. I actually wore a spaghetti strap top and no chaffing. I am going to try the bigger female models as well. (For longer run days)
This vest is everything you could want in a running vest. The extremely lightweight material feels like you are wearing nothing extra. It’s a user friendly vest that no one should hesitate to buy. I’m already thing I’ll need the Adventure Vesta too.
I have had my Vesta for a week now. I’ve ran in it every day. The water bottles work great. They eliminate the air on your first drink so no sloshing while you run.
My only complaint is that the hard lip around the top of the bottle cut into my skin. I moved my bottles to the zipper pocket and it’s much more comfortable.
I love to do adventures but need an event vest...found one..like pockets, easy access, nice color... like my purse, can add to it. Great job..love this...like so cool will take to my next event. Thank you, Ultimate Direction...you know the right direction. Ann
I just received my race vesta and have only worn it for an 18mi training run but it was everything I imagined and more. The front zippered pockets were easy access for my nutrition and I used one of the bottle pockets for my phone, making it super easy to get in and out. The back pocket was the perfect to stuff a thin rain layer and still accessible without taking the pack off. Most importantly though, the Comfort Cinch system made the pack extra comfortable, no bouncing, no chafing or anything. I have always struggled to find a hydration pack that fit comfortable and with the multiple adjustment systems this one hit the spot. Huge shout out to UD for really listening to athletes suggestions!
