Adrian moved from Boston to Fort Collins in 2016 to run in the mountains but only started racing in them in 2020 when road races were cancelled due to the pandemic. In his first attempt at the 100-mile distance, he won the Leadville Trail 100 in the fifth fastest time in event history. When he's not training or racing, he likes to give back to the running community by volunteering on the board of the Fort Collins Running Club and coaching high school cross country.
