It's fantastic -- light, wind resistant, fits easily in a bike shirt pouch.

This jacket is perfect for cold starts or cold runs in general. Ran the Zion Ultras in it. Cold start around 37 degrees and this jacket kept me warm. Within 4 miles it had to come off and when it did, it easily stored in my pack (Ultimate Direction FKT). Vents on the back of the jacket seemed to allow some of the heat and moisture from running to escape to prevent a sauna effect. The jacket smartly packs into its own zipper pouch, about the size of an iPhone when all wrapped up. No sizing issues here. I’m 6’2 and 190 lbs and the XL is perfect sized. Great buy for the cost!

Love this jacket
The jacket is really light and compresses down into a nice easy to store size that fits inside my UD Hard Rocker vest and keeps you warm and dry during at least really windy misting conditions, haven't experienced a hard rain with it yet though.

Just what is advertised
It's exactly what it says it is. Hyper light weight. Stores small. Breathes well. I keep worrying that the zipper is going to tear off the thing, but it's held up well, even when I ran into a pack of thorn bushes. Maybe not my best shortcut... Nice job UD.

Very lightweight and feels durable
I read the reviews regarding sizing and went with a large. I typically wear medium running shirts and some large tri shirts. I have 5'10 with about a 42" chest and it fits well. I could probably survive if it was a little smaller, but a medium would likely be too restrictive.
The jacket itself is great. It packs down small and weighs next to nothing. When squeezed tightly, it is about the same size as my fist. Despite the light weight, the material feels very durable. I do not feel like it is going to rip if I pull it too hard or tear a seam trying to take it off quickly. One thing I really like is the pocket which you store the jacket in has a double zipper (handle on both sides). You can close it all the way without having to tuck the zipper in.
I am a little confused by the buckle strap shown in the pictures. If you snap it together like it is shown, it pulls the flap away from the zipper. If you secure it so that the flap goes over the zipper (like you would on a jacket), then the clasp is upside down. Not a big deal, just a curious design.

If only it had better ventilation..
Couldn't pass up the 65% off flash sale. I needed something small and compact and the marathon shell fit that bill perfectly.
Its comfortable and fits great - I'm 5'9" 165 lbs and the medium is the right size. When putting it on it feels like it wont fit on the shoulders but once in place it's quite comfortable. Has just enough room to comfortably fit my Patagonia R1 hoodie underneath as well if needed. The material is somewhat noisy but not terrible. It does keep me slightly warmer in windy or chillier weather up until i get wet from sweat.
My main gripe has to do with the ventilation and its inability to wick away moisture. Sure it has the back vent but that is only any good if you aren't wearing a pack of some kind. I wish it had some better ventilation for the arms. My arms pour sweat in this jacket. Maybe some armpit ventilation would help I'm not sure but it becomes quite uncomfortable as the material sticks to my wet skin absorbing all the moisture. It basically just becomes a wet and cold jacket. Because of the way it absorbs all this sweat it stinks terribly after one use which brings me to my last con, the washing instructions.
The label says to hand wash. I don't want to hand wash my jacket every time I use it but if I don't want to stink terribly then that's what I will have to do. I may just take the risk and start washing it with other laundry like normal.
Reasons I'll be keeping it:
I got this for 26 bucks. Definitely worth that price.
I love how light weight it is.
I love the color although it would've been nice to have more than one option.
I love how tiny it packs down. It is very small in its pocket and can even be squished smaller in a pack.
I think it will make for a perfect hiking windbreaker where I'm not sweating too much. Running wise it just doesn't breathe well enough and once you sweat in it the jacket simply doesn't wick away moisture and stays in a state of swampy wetness. And then it stinks.

Great outer layer!
As Spring finally arrives in New England the shell seemed like a great idea. I've worn it twice, once on a chilly and windy day, and just yesterday in a light rain. I really like it! It provides that layer of protection I need in this weather and it's so light I don't even know I have it on. Great job!

As advertised this jacket is perfect for starting out in cold and storing after you warm up. I'm marathon training in AZ during winter months. In the high 30's I'm running with t-shirt and this shell. I'm very comfortable.
Only con is the size. It is snug! I have a 46" chest (6'0", 210) the sleeves are just at the wrist and the whole thing is tight.
I still like it and its worth having just be prepared for snug fit (hence 4 not 5 stars)

sizing is too small
I got this jacket for my husband and it seems to be more sized for a woman. He usually wears a 39 short jacket weighing about 152 pounds. This jacket was too tight to move in. I am afraid that the sleeves in the large would be too long since he wears a 15 1/2, 32 inch sleeve shirt. What shall we do?
