As advertised this jacket is perfect for starting out in cold and storing after you warm up. I'm marathon training in AZ during winter months. In the high 30's I'm running with t-shirt and this shell. I'm very comfortable.
Only con is the size. It is snug! I have a 46" chest (6'0", 210) the sleeves are just at the wrist and the whole thing is tight.
I still like it and its worth having just be prepared for snug fit (hence 4 not 5 stars) Phx Drew on Jan 3rd 2018
I got this jacket for my husband and it seems to be more sized for a woman. He usually wears a 39 short jacket weighing about 152 pounds. This jacket was too tight to move in. I am afraid that the sleeves in the large would be too long since he wears a 15 1/2, 32 inch sleeve shirt. What shall we do? Barbara Rooklin on Apr 18th 2016
I often have to learn lessons over and over again... Leaving for a short run in questionable without any extra layers is one of those that I seem to like to re-learn. I'm happy to report, however, that I might be learning as I've been caught in numerous unexpected wind storms or evening runs with lower than expected temps and I thankfully had the Marathon shell with me! At 3.3oz, it's the lightest way to transform what could be a miserable situation into something quite pleasant. Great job UD! Jared on Sep 12th 2015
