The Stereo back has 2 soft bottle holsters (which work best with any of the Body Bottles – not included), a secure zippered pocket that fits an iPhone, and a cargo pouch with bungee cords. It must be paired with either the Hi–Fi front (from the Groove Stereo) or the Lo–Fi front (from the Groove Mono), thus giving you the option to own an extra “back” section that can be traded out with one of the “front” sections for the option of 1 or 2 bottles. Either way, the Groove System is for people who don’t normally like waist packs – it’s the most comfortable waist belt ever.
This waist pack is definitely worthy of a long ultra. I didn't used to like waist-packs because of the bouncing and the bottles chafing my lower back. I took these out to the Western States Training Camp and had no issues with the fit while I was bombing down some of the descents. The following weekend, I took them for a 20+ mile run up and around Mt. Diablo in the Bay Area using the Flex Form 600 bottles instead of the soft flasks and they worked just as well. My wife bought me the Groove Stereo with bottles for my birthday last week, through the years I have spent $100's of dollars trying various hydration belts and vest from some of the top brands out there although they worked nothing felt as natural as the Groove Stereo. Hands down this is the best hydration belt I have ever wore. The belt has the perfect amount of space, fits nice and snug no bounce and the big mouth bottles are the best, it makes it easy to add your powder or just fill up and the best is there is not that hard plastic after taste.
ULTIMATE DIRECTION hit a home run with this one and has just made a customer for life.
